Galle Fort

Well preserved Portuguese and Dutch developed fort located 117 km away from Colombo. Galle was the first harbor that visited Portuguese and they have identified the value of the Galle and made a perfect fort. In late time Dutch developed the structural part and the armed power. The original plan was made by Portuguese and able to build smaller fort. Galle fort declared as World Heritage city with its tremendous man-made creation. Not even that Galle Fort is a world famous honeymoon destination because its superb elegant backgrounds make more perfect ambience. There are the numberr of museums located in fort. Marine archeology museum is the most important thing should be visited to observe the marine history. Galle Fort has colonial ruins with well preserved. Wooden pillars add more elegant look for its colonial style. The museum is a great place to observe the proud history and there are many colonial things have been exhibit.
